In 2005, founder Nir Zuk embarked on a quest to challenge the status quo of network security by reinventing the firewall. Dynasty supported Palo Alto Networks from the outset, contributing a $250,000 seed investment. Nir began his journey at a desk in Dynasty's offices. He was soon joined by Rajiv Batra and Lee Klarich, and together, in 2007, they launched their first product: a pioneering "next-generation firewall" with advanced application identification and control capabilities. By 2012, under CEO Mark McLaughlin's leadership, the company experienced a 10-fold increase in revenue and went public (NYSE: PANW). In 2018, Nikesh Arora took the helm as CEO, steering the company towards a cloud-based transformation. Today, Palo Alto Networks stands as a global leader in cybersecurity.

In 2005, Aneel Bhusri and Dave Duffield met over brunch at the Jax Truckee Diner with the shared vision of creating a company that would offer cloud-based solutions for finance and HR. This idea materialized into what is now known as Workday. Dynasty backed the co-founders from the outset, and by 2012, Workday had successfully become a public entity (NASDAQ: WDAY). Today, it stands as a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications, offering solutions in financial management, human capital management, planning, and analytics, catering to some of the largest corporations, educational institutions, and government entities globally.

In 2010, Sumo Logic was founded with the vision of using analytics to empower digital businesses via a fully cloud-based service. They developed a platform designed to deliver continuous intelligence, offering real-time insights as a service from a cloud-native infrastructure. Dynasty invested in the venture before it even had a name. By 2020, Sumo Logic went public, and today it has emerged as a rapidly growing leader in continuous intelligence, serving thousands of customers across the globe.

Abnormal initiated at Dynasty with a mission to transform cybersecurity by building a new cloud-native email security platform. During the idea generating phase, Dynasty connected the founders with more than 50 Fortune 500 CIOs and CISOs for customer feedback. Dynasty’s recruiting team has supported executive team building, and introduced hundreds of candidates for critical roles in engineering, product, recruiting, go-to-market, and operations. Dynasty marketing helped them with their public launch story and ongoing marketing support.

Dynasty established a collaboration with Snorkel from the time Snorkel was based in a lab at Stanford. In the early days, Snorkel's founders operated out of Dynasty's workspace. During Snorkel’s inaugural year, Dynasty facilitated over 30 customer introductions, contributing to revenue exceeding one million dollars. The executive search was bolstered by Dynasty's talent, with our key team members aiding in the recruitment of pivotal senior engineers, product designers, and recruiters for Snorkel’s nascent team. Furthermore, our marketing team successfully handled the launch feature story for Snorkel.

Keith Peiris became an Entrepreneur in Residence at Dynasty, where he received support in conducting user surveys to refine his concept. Dynasty played a crucial role in connecting him with his co-founder, Henri Lirani. Additionally, Dynasty collaborated on all senior staffing decisions, provided invaluable advice on talent strategy, and was instrumental in recruiting two-thirds of the initial engineering and product team. The Dynasty team also facilitated several strategic customer introductions and assisted Tome with both their launch and continuous PR efforts. In under a year, Tome has expanded its user base to over 10 million.

When Mustafa Suleyman, a former co-founder of DeepMind, chose to establish a new venture focused on consumer AI products, he launched it through Dynasty. Our talent teams were pivotal in constructing the executive and foundational talent teams, responsible for recruiting half of the engineering team, including a founding engineer, product managers, and additional key personnel. The Dynasty marketing team played a significant role in orchestrating the company's unveiling, product introduction, and communications regarding funding.

Sridhar Ramaswamy began working on Neeva a few months after joining Dynasty as a venture partner in 2018. Dynasty co-led their first round, and the founding team was initially housed in our Menlo Park office. Our recruiting team has introduced nearly 100 candidates for critical roles including engineering, product, recruiting, GTM, and operations. During product ideation, Dynasty facilitated 20 product feedback sessions to help the team develop clarity around their product direction. Dynasty’s marketing team also supported the company’s first launch press. Neeva was acquired by Snowflake in 2023.
